About Traditional Anglicans

Who are Traditional Anglicans?

Traditional Anglicans are the American heirs of the catholic tradition in the Church of England.  Our worship is liturgical, and our beliefs are orthodox.  We subscribe to the historic Thirty-Nine Articles of religion and the traditional worship of the Book of Common Prayer.  We are affiliated with the Anglican Province of America.

We are pro-life, and we maintain a strong witness against the practice of abortion.

We subscribe to the apostolic tradition of a male priesthood; however women play an important part in the life of our Communion, as teachers, Church wardens, musicians and leaders in a variety of roles.

We believe that marriage is a union for life between one man and one woman; however we believe in reconcliiation and forgiveness.  Divorced persons will not be turned away from our altars, and we believe that remarriage is permissible, after appropriate counsel and penance.
